VOICE—Meditation Cabin
The main concept of the design is “voice”. The structure of the cabin is based on cube, combined with three different sizes of geometry-shaped sound tube to space combination. Trying to find the most comfortable space atmosphere for people to talk with the forest. Meditator can talk with nature and express your own heart to nature with the meditation cabin where the meditator can hear more ideas.
The three themes of the meditation cabin are sun, voice and reflection which to get different meditation experiences. Although in the small spaces (under 15 square meters) which for living and meditation space, it can be used three kinds of spaces to concentrate and enlarge the gradual changes naturally to feel the spacious atmosphere. Under the gaze of nature, it gives us a high quality of meditation wooden cabin.
SITE
Latvia benefits from a rich and diverse ecosystem, with comparatively large areas of pristine nature. Approximately 54% of Latvia is forest, making it one of the greenest countries in Europe.
MODULAR
In order to hold the concept of eco-friendly and to ensure that can complete in the short time, the cabin is seen as two separate modules - three "sound tube geometry" and a "cube". We can assemble easily and rapidly by modularized and be built anywhere.
SUSTAINABILITY
It has minimal impact on the environment. To get some warmth by burning wood in the winter, people recycle the heat from the chimney, collect rainwater as the use of daily life, use biological methods to process the excrement generated by human lives and the generate biogas is used to cook and provide lighting. These clean energy sources supply the most basic needs of the cabin that have the practical functions of environmental protection and energy conservation.
